Dissemination TIAM

TIAM dissemination seminary was held in the beginning of September at Science and Technology Park in Pilsen. The aim of the event was to introduce main ideas and results of the TIAM project to a wide spectrum of ergonomics experts.

The international seminary was organized by the University of West Bohemia, the partner of the TIAM project. Participants representing Czech Ergonomic Society, Occupational Medicine Clinic, Faculty of Health Care Study or Siemens Company and, of
course, also students of the University of West Bohemia should compare different approaches in the risk assessment of work related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSDs) from the point of view of regions participating in the TIAM project. Further the toolkits proposed within the project for quick assessment of risk of WMSDs were presented. Also the applications of toolkits in industrial companies were shown. Italian and Spain partner
summarized upcoming standards on manual handling and working postures.

Finally the participants were invited to the Laboratory of Virtual Reality of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, where they have seen application of modern methods of visualization used for design of new workplaces.
